Producing Pearls for God

Be attentive to God, open your heart, widen your heart. In imitation of that creature of the son, receive what God sends into your shell that you may produce a precious pearl for your Divine Spouse. In this way you can make some return for what He has done for you.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, it is a consoling thought that I can give You something, since you have given so much to me. As the oyster produces its pearl from the irritations it receives, so may the irritations I accept enable me to produce a pearl of great price to give to You.
